The 1990 Mori Seiki SL-8B CNC lathe is a robust machine equipped with an updated Fanuc 0i-TD Control system. It comes with a 24" 3 Jaw Hydraulic Chuck, offering a substantial maximum machining diameter of 35.4" and a swing over the bed of 39.3". The machine is designed with a center distance of 43.3", ensuring versatility in handling various workpiece sizes. This lathe features a 10.5" spindle bore with an A1-20" spindle nose, and a spindle speed ranging from 4 to 550 RPM, driven by a powerful 50 HP motor. Its 3-speed geared system ensures efficient and precise machining operations. With an X-axis travel of 16.5" and a Z-axis travel of 43.3", the machine provides ample flexibility for different machining tasks. The SL-8B includes a 6-station turret and a tailstock travel of 26.8" with a quill diameter of 4.3". It boasts rapid traverse rates of 197 IPM on the X-axis and 315 IPM on the Z-axis.
